This group tour is ideal for Families, a Group of Friends, a Day out with Colleagues or Team Building Event.

Location: The Mill site in Ballintrillick, one of the most scenic and tranquil areas in Co. Sligo.

Duration: 2 hours

Time of year: Foraging walks take place from April to September, covering Spring, Summer and Autumn

Dates are flexible and can be arranged to suit the group and are subject to availability of the guide!

Your guide : Naturopath, herbalist, chef and cookbook author Gaby Wieland, who has led foraging walks for over 25 years.

The Experience: Under the guidance of Gaby Wieland you will find and identify many wild foods that grow along Irish hedgerows. These will be different for different seasons. You will learn how nutritious these foraged foods are and how to use them for culinary and medicinal uses. With tastings and recipes at the end of the walk. Participants will also receive a handout with information about plants found on the walk.

The walk does NOT include fungi/mushrooms.

What to wear: Sturdy boots and appropriate weatherproof clothing.

What to bring: A small notebook and pen to record plants.

Minimum fee for a Group: €150 for a maximum of 5 participants. (Each additional person €30, children under 10 are free.)
