Hans & Gaby Wieland

Having moved to Sligo from Germany in 1985, Hans and Gaby have been at the cutting edge of Sligo’s food revolution. Producers of organic vegetables, sourdough breads and artisan farmhouse cheeses for more than 20 years at their organic small-holding Neantog Farm, near Cliffony, they have developed relationships with cafes, restaurants, health food and delicatessen shops across the Northwest and beyond. Having initially supplied food establishments in Sligo with organic produce, having then taught, mentored and inspired many chefs through their courses at Neantog and The Organic Centre for the past 15 years, featuring their favourite food spots in walking tour 2018-2022) they now concentrate on writing about the Irish food scene in general and the Sligo food scene in particular.
